Natural Deodorant Recipe

Ever wanted to try a natural deodorant, but were scared of the price tag? You can make your own at home!Ingredients:

  • ¼ cup Baking Soda
  • ¼ cup Arrowroot Powder
  • 4 tablespoons Organic Virgin Coconut Oil
  • ¼ teaspoon Essential Oils (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Mix together the baking soda and arrowroot powder.
  2. Mash in the coconut oil with a fork until combined.
  3. If you desire a scented deodorant, add in your favorite essential oils.
  4. Store in an airtight container. Some people may prefer to melt the mixture and pour it into an old empty deodorant container for familiar application.

If you have sensitive skin you may want to cut the baking soda down to 2 tablespoons and add 2 tablespoons of the arrowroot powder. Keep in mind that coconut oil melts when it is warm, and hardens when it is cold. Take this into account when deciding where to store your deodorant.
