Bar Soap Vs. Liquid Soap
Bar soap and liquid soap have gone head to head for many years. Growing up, I always used liquid soap, whereas my dad was the one who always had packs and packs of bar soap. I simply did not know the benefits of bar soap at the time, which are plenty. Some people have allergies to fragrances while others just don’t like them added to their soaps. Liquid soaps that are fragrance-free can be really difficult to find. Bar soaps offer a plethora of options for those who prefer to use fragrance-free.Liquid soap is wasteful. Wasteful of soap which is wasteful of money, wasteful of water, wasteful of plastic. You can create your own desired lather with bar soap so you don’t use too much. Bar soap is created with a far less amount of water so you’re helping minimize water consumption, and bar soap typically has little to no packaging so you are putting less waste into the world. When it comes to exfoliation, bar soap wins as well. Bar soaps provide a more intense scrub and stimulate circulation in the skin. Liquid soaps used for exfoliation must be used together with a sponge or loofah to achieve the same effects. Bar soaps can even have exfoliants already built into the bar such as sea salt, making for easier exfoliation.
